Dear Friends & Families,
We will be having our last match of the season this coming Saturday, 23 April 2016, which we shall be themed as a, Clapton Family Day. Children ( below 16 years of age) will have free entry into the ground and we will have a programme for the children, so bring the whole family and friends and make this a memorable fun occasion.
Here are a few of the events we will be having for the children:
- Some of the children will form a guard of honour for the players coming onto the pitch. Others will walk with the players onto the pitch (like they do on TV, shaking the hands of the opponents with the child).
- At half time (providing we have two teams ready) a small football kiddies match will take place on the pitch over by the scaffold stand.
- At the end of the match we will be having the Clapton Presentation for the players where we honour the top goal scorer, players of the season, supporters’ player of the season etc.
- After the presentation more family events will take place including mums, and dad’s race, three legged race with granddad and grandchild plus a whole lot more – All this will be happening whilst eating jerk chicken and a home made punch that is much better than Tyskie beer!
Before the well deserved break this will be the time we celebrate the achievements of the management, the manager and coaching staff, the players, the supporters, who between us, have moved Clapton forward. Not forgetting that on Saturday 30th Apri,l we are in the final of the Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy and hopfully we will have more to celebrate that day also.
See you all on Saturday
