Clapton Football Club has not be given a lease to remain at the Old Spotted Dog Ground, its home for over 130 years.

This is naturally very devasting news for our supporters and all involved with the club. However, contrary to what is being said on social media, this iconic club will continue as Clapton Football Club, the official entity established in 1878.

Over the coming days we will update everyone on our plans and details.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all and, in particular, those that have come forward to support us in this time. We received almost 1000 signatures to our online petitions as well as many offers of assistance. We are truly grateful for this.

The Tons will be in their red and whites Mayesbrook Park Stadium on Saturday 21 September 2019, when they play West Essex FC.
