It’s a shame that the majority of recent posts on this website are about the ongoing issue of flare, pyros, etc being let off in the grounds at both home and away matches.  The majority of spectators have responded positively to our requests to stop. However, the issue continues to cause the Club problems. With almost £300 in fines issued to the club so far, we are facing the same amount or more shortly for cases that are are currently being dealt with by the London Football Association.

We are spending a lot of time, energy and scarce resources, which could be far better spent on buying kit, footballs and the preparation of the pitch for playing.

We intentionally make a distinction between supporters and spectators and know that there is a minority of the latter that is set on causing problems for the Club.

That said, we do ask that the true supporters of the club stand up and tell the persons doing this to stop it (or report to us), as it’s not helping Clapton Football Club, its development or our relationship with the league, county or Football Association – ultimately, it will affect the supporters enjoyment of watching the Tons matches, as more and more stringent measures will need to be put into place.
