Michael started playing as a youth for the famous East London team Senrab. During his time with Senrab Michael was part of the team that won the London Cup in the Under 14 and Under 15 levels.

After youth football Michael progressed to Under 18 football with Leyton Wingate FC followed by Walthamstow Pennant FC. Michael played throughout this time at Centre Half or in Centre Midfield.

After assisting Chris Wood, first team manager, in a previous position, when the need for a new reserve team manger at Clapton arose, Chris asked Michael to take over the reins.

Mike went on to become the first team Manager and the Club finished in 7th and 8th place  in the League during this, also winning the Gordon Braested Trophy.

During the time Mike as been away, he has broadened his experience in a variety of positions from Manager to Assistant Manager, to part of the Coaching team, at Essex Senior Level, Bostic level, and U23 level.

Ross Weare

 

A former player in the Essex Senior League with East Ham United Ross scored 49 goals
in a season where he grabbed the attention of former Arsenal scout, Steve Burtenshaw.

He was offered a trail with Queens Park Rangers which was successful and Manager Gerry
Francis offer him a two year professional contract in March 1999.

He went onto play for Bristol Rovers where, unfortunately, his playing career was cut short due
to injury and Ross was forced to retire at the age of 24.

Since then he has gone on to retrain as a coach and his working his way towards his
UEFA A Licence.

During his coaching career Ross has worked at all levels and has  coached/managed
teams in the ESL where he was brought in and worked with several players who have gone
on to reach great levels within the game.

As a hands on manager who thrives from working on the training field and as an ex pro he
knows exactly what it takes to reach peak levels of strength and fitness.

Ross is  also working closely with Kick It Out and will continue to campaign for diversity and
inclusion for all in our beautiful game.
