Jon has been coaching since 1993, when he gained his FA Level 2 Badge – this led him to train on the Leyton Orient Community Scheme, followed by the Chelsea Community Scheme. He finally got his big break in 1999, when he became a Scout Coach for Wimbledon FC in the English Premier League.
At Wimbledon he worked under an elite Coach, Terry Burton, and together they produced talented players including Colin Kazim Richards of Celtic FC, David Martin from MK Dons and Jason Puncheon from Crystal Palace.
Jon also had the pleasure of playing for Grays, Aldershot, Leyton Pennant, Kingstonion and Ilford.
Jon’s time spent at Enfield Town coaching the U21s meant he was able to demonstrate fully his passion for the club, the sport and, particularly the players, some of whom enhanced and improved so immensely that they were able to move on to more senior clubs.
