Following a recent anonymous complaint and letter (the 7th in the last six months ), and the subsequent visit of the Health & Safety, Food & Hygiene and Licensing Departments of Newham Local Authority, we can announce that the files relating to that particular investigation/stroke complaint have now been closed.

On arrival, the officers inspected our showers and found them to be compliant – the photographs posted on Facebook by certain individuals show a scene that did not present a true picture! After the inspection of the clubhouse, the officers closed that investigation and file on the basis that we did conform to the requirements of those respective departments. As a point of fact, the complaint about the use of the kitchen was unfounded! The hospitality we provide on match days is purchased fresh and served immediately.

We were provided with additional information on how to maintain the old structure we now have as a clubhouse. This information will be taken on board and will support the actions we are already taking, which includes the periodic employment of agencies to carry out remedial work so that our facilities ongoingly meet the required standard.

The Spotted Dog Stadium also undergoes an annual inspection by the FA in order for clubs playing there to be eligible to enter into theFA Cup and Vase and it has passed all of these to date.

With this investigation now behind us, we are once again putting our energies back into moving forward and preparing for the 2014/15 season.
