Clapton has made two new appointments to its Management Team this week. Marc Nurse, has been appointed Head of Football and Mike Walther has been appointed as one of the joint Managers of Clapton Football Club. Both Marc and Mike have been part of the Management Team for the past 2 years – Marc has worked with the Senior Team and Youth Teams during that time, and Mike and has worked with the Senior Team for most of last season (and with the Reserves prior to that).
Commenting on the appointment, Vincent McBean, Chief Executive for Clapton said: “We are pleased that Marc and Michael have taken on these roles within the Club. Mike brings with him a wealth of experience from his many years in non league football. Marc has over 10 years in sports development and management – he has also been working with the Club on its strategic development. They will provide continuity as well as a fresh and modern approach to Clapton”.

Marc Nurse – Head of Football
With over 10 years of experience in studied and working within the Sports Development, Marc has developed his knowledge in football programs as well as fitness programs ensuring that players are encouraged to stay fit and reached their full potential.
Marc has played for Grays FC in his youth and then moved on to play Semi professional clubs in the Essex Senior League. Marc has coached in the USA, UAE and the UK working with Crystal Place Ladies, Romford FC and Barking FC. Marc currently holds UEFA B License and UEFA B Coaching Diploma.
